Air freighting oranges from Brazil to Florida - are you serious?

The place where our food comes from does make a difference.

Food miles : how far our food travels before it gets to us is very important, and so is the transportation mode(s) that is/are used to accomplish that. So, what is the most efficient method to transport food? If you want to know the answer, click here.

Even though the Green Ninja was able to cut down emissions just by changing the way the oranges were being transported, he encourages us to eat locally and seasonally available produce to avoid imports, especially when we are importing something we produce locally.
